You guys have good reliable sources for statistics showing guns saving lives? I'm sick of being asked this, and everytime it's a 30min google search trying to find a source that is reliable and not bias.

OOps forgot my little self-compiled graph of Brady score vs. gun deaths.

lol i love the ones that cite the number of children killed by firearms. "children" being people up to the age of 25.

They probably require them to be in a gang too, in order to include them in that stat. :mamoru:

I've always loved the "a gun in your home is more likely to be used to kill you or a family member than kill a criminal!", as if you're more likely to accidentally kill a loved one or have a criminal overpower you and take your gun away than for you to fend off a criminal with a gun.

In reality, about half of those cases are suicides, and the other half is intentional domestic violence between household members.
And when it comes to figures of actually shooting and killing an invader, 92% of cases in which a gun is used to fight off an attacker, no shots are fired, and when shots are fired, and even smaller percentage of that 8% of shot attackers even die.
