I keep getting a message popping up saying that my startup disk is full. I also get a similar message in iTunes. What does this mean and what can I do to go about fixing it?

I can't imagine that my computer is maxed out, I only have about 3500 songs and 4000 pictures.

Ok, so maybe this is the culprit?

I have a folder called "LimeWire Files", which has 914 items in it, totaling almost 7 gigs. All those songs and movies are on my iTunes, so can I delete all those files and not lose my songs?

Once the songs are in the iTunes folder, then yes, you can delete those without worry.

Deleted it. Hopefully that clears things up and gets things running smoother.

thats what i have on my macbook, i should stop lugging around 34gb of itunes. i hardly ever listen that it anyways. the rest of the space is filled up with xvids and dvd isos and the system obviously.

i'm going to get an external. i recently bought a case for a 1.8 hard drive. it's so tiny, but the hard drives are pretty expensive and low capacity compared to 2.5 hard drives. it will only fit a hitachi 1.8 hard drive, which is 20gb and around $40 shipped.
