I'm starting out try christophers routine.

It's been a while since I did any lifting, and then all of it was 2 x 15-20 stuff, alot of it machine stuff. Basically what my trainer told me to do (back when I had spare cash).

This time around, I'll be working out at home. I have a barbell, bench and dumbells. They are not exactly high quailty stuff, the plates are sand-filled, which is going to limit the space.

Basically I have max of about 100 lbs of weights. The dumbells can fit no more than 20lbs each on them.

I think I'm going to have to upgrade, soon.

Anyway, on the the question. I did monday workout (increase weight each set) from 50lbs to 90lbs for bench, squats and deadlifts. Is this the way you are supposed to do it?

Also, with the db exercises (or any of the 2-set exercises) you increase weight betweens sets or reps? Do you increase weight each week?

    Thanks.

Yeah, I suspected so. Although the squats were uncomfortable - for my shoulders arms they were not doing much for my legs. Likewise the deadlifts didn't seem that hard.

    Thanks.
