I feel like absolute shit :o I know its from the food, but I am happy to be getting into shape and I have a partner that I am doing it with so its not so tempting to cheat. how long does this feeling shitty last for though?

It's different for most people but I remember reading between 1 and 2 weeks.

I have never done the cut diet, but I have done similar low carb/low cal diets. The feeling of being ill usually goes away after a week or so, and that lathargic/dazed feeling usually takes 2 weeks. After that you fall into a body program and adapt.

Not sure if the cut diet does this, but I would recommend a carb load/calorie load day once every 5-7 days.

I think the problem with the cut diet is the carbs.

You eat enough to keep yourself out of ketosis, but not enough to sustain energy. You're body is in a constant limbo. I Like alot of it's principals, but I think the carbs are too high.

I've got a buddy who tried it. He gave it an honest two weeks and felt like dick the whole time. Dropped the carbs down to trace levels from green veggies, bumped up the fats, and say's he feels normal again.

You'll be fine then. The first 2 weeks are the worst and then it progressively easier. Stay strong, the results will be worth it!

    Same here.

I grew up eating TONS of carbs (Italian/Irish) and after that first brutal week, I feel a lot better and lighter on my feet on the low carb diets.
