I thought the pilot was awesome.

The only thing that kind of bothers me is having to sacrifice someone to press a button when the flying orbs could've done the same job. If not the orbs alone, a modified orb with a weighted object... don't tell me it's not possible to lower one of these suckers, so they would have accomplished the same without loss of life.

    That nitpick aside, great show!

Yah I agree, that part kind of seemed forced in just to create a sense of drama. Overall, I thought it was pretty good though. Disappointed that all of SG1 but Teal'c was in it in some form :hs: And :mamoru: at U.S.S. George Hammond. And  at Shooter McGavin as the Senator. Since when did they know about a 9 chevron address though... did they discover that in SGA? Only watched a few episodes of the first season of SGA :hs:

they said they discovered it at Atlantis but i dont think it was on the show itself, overall i enjoyed it, i dont like that IOA cunt at all so far lets just see if she redeems herself during the show.

It was pretty good. I liked the part where Adama and Baltar were fighting over who's going to be in charge and you couldn't tell if Baltar could be trusted or not.

I didn't like how the second-last episode to air had everyone pretty much die, and then the next episode pretty much forgot ALL About that. I thought that was going to be a two-parter. I hate it when things return to the status quo so unnaturally.

This show barely feels like Stargate and the constant returning to Earth via the stone really cheapens the whole concept of the show. Hopefully it gets better. At least the alien worlds look more alien in this show, rather than the forests of Vancouver :mamoru: "Hay guyz this alien planet looks just like the last 20 we were on!"

:nono: They themselves came from the swamps of an earthlike planet. In SG, earthlike is the norm. Maybe the Ancients terraformed.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it, SG needed to die with Atlantis. The new show could have been cool, but the whole going to Earth thing is bullshit, killing off people is bullshit, and overall, the whole show is epic fail.

:werd: They really cheaped out on the basic plot with the whole "we can visit earth whenever we want" thing.

And I don't care about a single one of the characters.

Wait, no. I did like one - the black guy who started the series in the brig.

Rush: "We'll never be finished!" :noes:

I don't like the earth stones any more than you guys, but I think the show is still pretty good.

I've already given up on it. Good luck to you, maybe it won't get an early cancellation.

I am hoping it does. That show had huge potential and threw it all away in the first episode. What a shame.

I'm just waiting for the first aliens to make their appearance, I bet it will be lol-tastic and take away any serious vibe the show had previously.

Too late. Don't you remember the sand-water-ghost-priest alien on the first planet they went to?

:dunno: the alternate timeline thing is pretty basic scifi

the show overall is nothing special, but it's certainly not bad either. the killoffs don't seem over the top; people died off in the introductions to bsg and voyager too, so it's to be expected for another lost on a ship in space kind of show, and rush is clearly not dead.
