I think this is a much closer match than Defiant vs. Galaxy or Sovereign.

    That's what I'm thinking too.
Though Intrepid can take a fuckload of damage too.
And Defiant's sheilds are more than three times as powerful as Intrepid's.

The Enterprise-D was a badass ship too, too bad they wasted the Enterprise-E.

Reading this thread is making me find my cd for the star trek game where you get to build and outfit your own ship and beat the shit out of all the other races.

    Goddamn that shit is fun.

I hacked one once and gave it about 18 photon cannons, it was an intergalactic wrecking ball.

Yeah, but the Defiant would get :Owned: by NCC-1701-E Sovereign-class Enterprise in a matter of minutes.

Enterprise and other vessels of their classes were Federation's flagships.

We went over this, and no.
Turbolasers wouldn't even dent Federation shields.

Too bad the topic doesn't say Defiant vs Sovereign ;)

Still, for equal money, a fleet of Defiants would kick more ass than a single Sovereign.
