is it .40 cal Sig sauer or do they use glock now?
in the academy too?
not to be a smart ass but wouldn't you train people with the weapon you're going to issue them?
true.dat maybe to get a wider range of weapon use from different top-end manufacturers or something.
i thought i read they were using a springfield 1911 now
The ones I know have grock 40
Which is a perfectly acceptable reason to assume that maybe they don't train them with the weapons they'll be using. We ARE talking about the government here, you expect shit to make sense?
As others have noted, the G22/G23 are current issue weapons, though the P229 .40 is on the (short) list of authorized personal weapons.
there's a list of authorized personal weapons they can use on duty? Damn.
DOJ = serious bidness
Lot of LEO departments have that. Know a Houston PO that carries an M40A1 on duty.
Wow, on person in LE carries an M40.
He must know the secret that no one else does
No, he used to carry the M40.. now he carries the M40A1
"Mannlicher" makes me laugh every time I say it
