I want to hook speakers up to my laptop but the speakers use standard speaker wire and I only have a headphone jack on my laptop. Is there a converter that is sold or anyway that I could do it myself??

    Thanks for your help.

No, I want to use my headphone jack to hook up speakers that need standard speaker wires.

So, I need some sort of interface to connect the speaker wire that would connect to my headphone jack. Or a way to solder some wires together to make it work.....

    These are the speakers:

Won't work. Your laptop's headphone jack does not have enough power to drive speakers to any real volume. You need to hook them up to a small amplifier or receiver and connect your laptop to that. The t-amp (thinkgeek sells them) will work fine for this.
