We just hired a bunch of SrA cause the boss wanted lower ranking people. Most of them made SSgt.

The lower the rank, the harder it is to get them. A1Cs tend to not have completed top secret security clearances, and most don't have their 5 level (required). Most 3Cs are 6 year enlistees, and are A1C out of techschool.

my wife had line number 83 when she made staff and they would not let her sew on until she went through ALS. Better get it done.

I'm a 3C.... And only a 4year enlistee... A1C out of tech.... But I do know of at least 3 people that deserve to have gotten it.

You have college credit right? If so, there would be no reason to sign for 6 years.

High Year Tenure for SrA is 12 years. He had to pass ALS in order to stay in the AF. He almost didn't pass. The instructors helped him on his test.

One of my early "subordinates" that I trained on the flight line made it. All of the cocky "know it all" "too cool for school" types didn't. I just know Ben is laughing at all of them :)

A bunch of douchebags in my squadron made it somehow, and only a few of the good airmen made it. Weird.

I'm still not eligible to test yet. Boo. :(

If they were really that good, they'd know that studying their butt off is the only good way to make it.

I won't have to put up with this douchebag at work anymore once I sew on

that was my only motivation to make it this year :o

not the money or anything else, no it's just being able to tell this other douche staff to go fuck himself

He still outranks you. And if he's a big enough douche, he will use that, and he will win, and you will get fucked. Tread lightly.

I wanted to make staff my first time because there was another airman I didn't want outranking me because he was a douche. He wound up killing himself, and I made it first shot. All was right with the world.
