I've bitched here, on occasion, about how the biggest project I'm working on has effectively no design effort, and I have repeatedly suggested to my boss and the project manager that I should pick up some of the work since I have a degree (and proven skill) in software engineering -- writing requirements, module prototypes, use cases, and so on. We had a new employee start work on Tuesday. She's a software tester, and to ensure that she has usable test cases to validate, she will also be participating in the design process by writing use cases for new functional modules. Meanwhile, I'll be updating the website. What the fuck?
