this is a big deal for me
in sept 03 i tore a ligament in my ankle in cross country, and couldnt squat for a long time, lost a ton of strength.
then in oct 04 retore it, same story over. I started squatting again in November 05, i dont run competitively anymore, and so far so good with the ankle. Tonight I put up 225 for reps, 15 pounds better than before I first fucked up my ankle. :)

Nice, its always rough coming back from an injury but its a good feeling when you work through it and come out stronger.

I just started back from my knee, shoulder, and back (wreck) I'm just swimming and doing pushups/situps right now to build the shoulder back up to where I can comfortably lift.

I'm rediculously scrawny compared to how I used to be now. Its driving me insane...

6'.5" 170... used to be 225-235 with 4-5% body fat...

I squatted on the Smith for a while to get confidence back, if my ankle started to give I could take the weight off right away

Unfortunately no, I don't have pics. The wreck was June of 04, I didn't have a digi cam back then. At least I have some nice scars to show for it... I do have pics of those if ya'll want that... they're more recent, after I'd lost a considerable amount of mass.

cross country beat me up more than any sport ive ever played, and ive done em all save for wrestling.

by the end of the season your body is just exhausted and so prone to injuries.

i had my ankle checked out when i firs fucked it up, and the doctor said it was sprained, so i walked around for 6 weeks with a wrap on it, it didnt get better, so i went to another doctor, who found the tear, and said the wrap made things worse
