so the other day at the school gym I saw a guy doing squats while standing on a thick board. I did some research and found that some people stick a wedge shaped board under the heels while squatting. he wasn't on a wedged board though, it was literally like a 4x4. I'm a noob to squats (I just tried them for the first time today on a Smith machine)......so can you guys tell me what the advantage of doing this is? is it something I should try? :dunno:

I heard it's especially good for people with femurs proportionately longer than their torsos

It artificially increases your flexibility. This is also why olympic lifting shoes have elevated heels. Allows you to go deeper than you normally would be able to.

    Im a dipping machine.

Im on a thug workout..nothing but dips and pull-ups and only workout out twice a week. Dips one day and Pullups on the other day but cardio on both days. I wrap a 45 pound plate around me as i do dips but thats all i use for weights.

Ive been doing this for like 2 months and went from a flabby 160 to a cut up 173 and im still gaining. After knee surgey i got a belly and couldnt even button up my pants but i can now.

Soon im going to add deadlifts in the mix when my knee gets alittle better. I know you freaks want to hate on the workout cuz its not in the stickys haha...but i love it. Less is more
