squats and deadlifts on same day?

    would it be a good idea to do heavy squats and deadlifts on the same day at the gym? i remember reading an article where these 2 forms of exercises take alot of your exercise and get you tired quick if im not mistaken.


    and another question is, which primary group of muscles does the deadlift target?

    I'm following christopher's routine, and for some reason I enjoy maxing squat/dead on the same day.

    Sometimes I don't feel recovered enough for wednesday though :hs:

    christophers/starr's routine has you deadlift/squat/bench heavy same day =) squat heavy twice a week.

    when i had enough time I would always do quads (squat) and lower back (deads) on the same day. i also did abs. it was like hell day but i liked it. too bad i had to split it all up

    I've done it before- used to do one day with all three big lifts, it was a lot of fun. Nothing wrong with it, but if you haven't done it before you might be a little tired by the time you get to one of them.
