Squat Form

    Hi guys im pretty new here

    im in HS and lift 5 days a week

    i wanted some input on my squatting form

    when i squat the weight sits near the front of my foot, kind of right before where the toe starts
    ...but i hear from my coach that i would benefit more if i were to let the weight sit on my heels

    so is there any tips for making this transition?/ should i take the advice?

    If you're resting the weight on your foot, then one of the two of us doesn't know what a squat is.

    When you do the positive part of the exercise, you should have heel drive though.

    You need to stick your butt out more, kinda like your going to sit in a chair and distribute the weight between your hips and your knees.

    squatting is bad for you and will cause spinal compression so when you're 70 you'll be like 4 feet tall

    lol, i know i havn't been around that long, but he's an april of 06... that's 1 day ago.



    sit back as you come down, it'll keep the weight on ur heels and ur knees behind ur toes. remember to also spread the floor (push ur knees out) as you squat.

    Yes. focus on something up.

    Make sure you keep your head straight though
