My SQL server hard drive ran out of space last night and was not able to complete the usual backups. Anyway, the transcation log of one of the databases that never backed up grew to 9 gigs. The best and only way I know to clean this up is to re-backup the transaction log after creating more space on the drive that ran out. The problem is this, when I back up the trans log I get a timeout expired error. No matter what I do, it always timesout!! Any info would be appreciated.
