it's because you're leaning forward and starting your squat with your knees....

squat with no weight, almost sitting down, or using a bench/box until you can squat back without falling

push your hips back for the initial descent and start to sit back, then drop with your knees to complete to parallel/deeper

    ah good idea

i hadn't thought about using a box, i think its a fear of falling over, i do have really poor movement in my ankles though, i can't lift my feet past the 90degree :S

guess i have to build up my core strength a bit more, been sitting at home past month and getting fat,

around parallel, just fine to have it a couple of inches below, doesn't hurt to have one slightly above, just not as your major box

im tall and inflexible, and cant even keep my balance with no weight. I use a matt to lift my heels up alittle and it helps with my balance. put something underneath your heels

Make sure your head is up too, people always lead with their head, and if yours is pointed down youll tip forward. Pick something on the wall infront of you to stare at and watch it all the way down and all the way up. I see that one all the time :p
