I'm suspecting there are a few spywares lurking around. So how can I check if there is any connection going out from my pc? (The setup is modem to pc, no router)

    Thnx.

As far as I can tell, Spybot: S&D scans the computer looking in the places different spy/adware programs typically install themselves. Ad-Aware seems to scan every file on your computer to see if it is spy/adware and should be removed. In my opinion, running them both should certainly clean out anything you don't want.
