Spyware Problems

    Help! Earlier a bunch of IE windows were opening and then my desktop was change. Also a yellow triangle with an exclamation point will pop up with a message saying "Internet attack attempted" I have posted a screenshot. Does anyone know how to fix it? [​IMG]

    use spybot, ad-aware, hijackthis

    if all else fails,.. backup data, then format.

    Chances are a website used an active-x exploit to put a phony alert on your computer.
    And when you click on that popup, you'll get a scan that tells you all sorts of bad stuff is on your computer, and only by paying for the fix, can you get rid of it.

    Run scans in safe mode with AVG and Spybot S&D.

    It's probably a known bit of malware that those two progs will know how to deal with.
