I'm not the only user to this machine, so theres constantly odd crap going on when im using it. Recently there has been a toolbar added to internet explorer, which defaults to on. It's an ad bar, and i'd like to remove it. I've ran ad-aware several times and it's done nothing to remove it. If anyones dealt with this before, or knows of a stronger spyware scanning program, that'd be greatly appreciated.

 god I hate that toolbar. I delt with it on my parents computer. It comes installed with some file sharing prog I think
Anyway, I think I tried the add/remove programs and didn't have any luck. So I just opened up regedit and search for the name of the tool bar and deleted all the registry keys that had the name of it in it. Fixed

download, install, update and then run spybot search and destroy. It should catch it.

Toolbar is still there taunting me... :rant2:

An interesting read, found the problem it seems. The toolbar links lead to lop.com.

and use both spy bot and ad-aware...they're both good compliments. And if you haven't updated ad-aware with the "open webupdate" icon in the upper right corner I suggest doing so.

not sure why the registry edit didn't help...crazy programs
