    spyder 2 express or huey?

I need to calibrate my monitors BAD. don't need to calibrate a printer, though.

is spyder 2 express what I want? or is the huey a better choice?

I know there have been threads on this before, but I can't search

I like my Spyder 2 Express. You can use the Pro software if you find a serial because they both use the same hardware.

I'm having the same problem :wtc:

I think you have to have the Spyder pro to calibrate multi-mon

so I picked up a Huey from Ritz Camera today. Took it home to calibrate and got a nasty magenta hue after calibration. Recognizing this as a somewhat common problem with the Hueys, I took it back to Ritz for a different one..... SAME EXACT PROBLEM.

I hope Ritz will just give me a refund because I don't want to mess with this piece of shit anymore, nor do I want to wait weeks for a replacement to come from Pantone

That's why I went with Spyder. I didn't want to deal with that magenta crap.

I've got a Spyder 2 Express. It works well but it's not very flexible in terms of options or configurations. I will no longer be able to use it apparently if I get a new wider gamut display as apparently it doesn't do a great job with those. I will probably get a new Spyder 3 then and I'll make sure that I get one that supports various color temps, gammas and multiple displays on a single computer. As far as I know there's no Spyder 3 Express so I think all the Spyder 3s support those features.

I have one for my film scanner!

OK, i got my s2 express today and calibrated. but the display looks too warm. i've tried going to watch TV or something else for an hour and come back but it still looks wrong to me. especially with grays - they don't look gray to me. for example, OT looks....not gray

    what's the deal?

i've made sure all color profiles and color changing software with my video card is disabled

I honestly feel like the calibration wizard that came with my video card works better than this.. :hsugh:
