  1. Spy Shots: ’05 Infiniti QX56

    [IMG] [IMG]

    Upgrading to first class, Infiniti-style.

Believe it or not, these QX56 test utes are running around in far less camouflage their sibling, Nissan’s Pathfinder Armada, was at this point of the pre-introduction stage. And that small amount of missing fabric allows us to see many of the changes that will take the big and powerful Nissan and change it into the luxury Infiniti, challenging a string of large and high-dollar SUVs, including the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln’s Navigator and the Lexus GX470.

Although the body shell remains the same as the Nissan Pathfinder Armada, the Infiniti has unique front and rear fenders and lights, and the most aggressive Infiniti grille to date. Even the license-plate location has changed. The camouflage implies changes on the sides as well, and the Infiniti name ensures luxury amenities throughout.

The QX56 will be built in Canton, Miss., along side the new Titan and Pathfinder Armada, and will be powered by Nissan’s 300-horsepower 5.6-liter V-8. We believe the QX56 will be available in the first quarter of 2004 as an early 2005 model.

Yes. All SUV should have small amounts of head room like the Escalade.

Considering it's not going to sell well enough to make anybody give it a second thought.

So the only way they could make more headroom is with that bulge right in the middle of the roofline? :greddy:

  16. The rear end..especially tail lamps look heavily inspired from the Honda Pilot.

Yes. Adding head room usually involves moving the roof upward.

or they could lower the floor also making the vehicle safer by lowering the COG and making it easier to get in while not rasing the roof so much you can't bring the kids to get their happy meals through the drive-thru :greddy:

Lowering would require a brand new chassis. Remember, this is an actual truck and has to do truck things that a lower floor won't permit.

its sad how infiniti has no name recognition, even with the new products.

but i agree, the pathfinder armada is hideous and this will be more so.

Your Mercedes is still a fucking Mercedes.

Atleast Nissan tried to make the Nissan better before jacking up the price. Can't say the same for you.
