ya I just called and talked to them and said there is nothing right now.

my mom just broke her phone and wants a quad band so I am switching her over to Cingular and going to go pick up a Razr or the mpx220 later today

she is one of those people that cant go more than 2 hours w/o her cell phone

:werd: It'll be the same one that Samsung offers.

However, it may be cheaper to just by an unlocked GSM phone (quad band at least) so you can buy prepaid SIMs. Verizon's (and Sprint's) international rates will rape the ever-living-shit out of you -- at least $1/minute.

You probably won't be able to use your cingular phone internationaly since it's subsidy locked.

Oh god no, it's actually very reasonable. It depends on what country you're in. I think like Germany is something like 10 or 12 cents a minute.

it will be more then $1/ minute fyi. only business users that need a local number while overseas should use this, otherwise unlocked gsm and prepaid sim is the way to go.

I said SUBJECT. Not first post in this thread. We were not talking about CDMA and GSM anymore, were we? :hsugh:

It's because people don't read a little closer, people can't find 2 company names in this very short thread.

i'm still curious who offers $.10 / minute in germany. why would international roaming rates be 1/7th of the price of domestic roaming.

Are we still talking about if Sprint PCS has any phones that can be used internationally? No, that was answered quickly. What are we talking about right now then? Roaming rates, right?

Sure, I'll fight. Let's play swords. :greddy:

well I ended up getting her the V551 from Cingular and they turned on international roaming. Its not something that will be used a lot but she visits India at least once a year and there are many small towns there where its a lot easier to just use a cell phone than find a calling booth.
