I had dropped my phone awhile back and it chipped part of the hinge. Well now it is starting to crack and I know it's not going to last to much longer.

Well I need a new phone now. I really don't want to go over $200. I won't be signing a new plan and I won't be getting the vision plan, but I do understand that the majority of spirnts decent phones do have cameras, so that's not to big of a deal.

    Any suggestions?

Spend $229 and get the 8200, great phone for that price. If you have Costco's where you are, you can pick them up for under $180.

I have the VGA1000, it's not a bad phone at all it has taken a lot of abuse. Almost 2 years old now though. I will be upgrading to the A800 slider upon its release however :)

The VGA1000 is crap. Esp compared to the 8200. Software issues, only supports Shortmail, ugg. A good example why Sanyo is much better than Samsung. Samsung cleaned up their act with the new series, esp since now they have to deal with Motorola as well as Sanyo. Both of them offering better product.

    get the toshiba vm4050

it has the best quality screen, doesn't require you to send SMS'es over the web, VGA camera, video, only thing it lacks is the "push to talk" thing they have now

and the best part is that it is dirt cheap

Also crap.. It's an audiovox phone made for Toshiba. It looks pretty... but it does not support alot of software and the browser has alot of issues.
