I took these with a Pentax 50mm f/2 hand held on the front of my XSi.. Let me know what you think.

Washed out? Like blown highlights? Or not enough contrast/saturation?

I went on a softer side with these, (the lens isn't very vivid anyways) I was kinda going for a fuzzy / dreamy look to most of them too..

    No lens flare... :nono:

Nice bokeh tho. The bright patches seem a bit distracting to me.

I usually agree with the no lens flare frame of mind, but I kinda like this one.. its not really intrusive.. I think I like the lines or "sunbeams" coming out of the top right corner where the flower is..

for 5/6, 5 is better even with the flare in this case. The lens flare removal was a bit sloppy, so you've got this random smudge running through your image ftl.

:uh::rofl: I see what you did there... the few blades of grass are so out of focus, they look like a random smudge across the front of your image. Wow... i feel like... something. A bit foolish perhaps. I guess i didn't look that hard at the two in comparison, and just assumed it was done in post. I still prefer 5 though.

I can see what you're saying though, and I like the lens flare more too :)

I tried to get the composition almost identical... looks like I succeeded :mamoru:

I really didn't catch that. I thought it was just different PP for the same image. even after being told otherwise i went back and took a couple of minutes to look closer.
