how much water are you drinking? If youre pounding a liter all at once, and then continue with hard exercise, you're probably going to feel bad.

    small amounts frequently > *, i believe

How the hell do you get sick from water?

I propose that it's not what you're drinking, but either the activity in general or the way you're drinking (too much at once as somebody already mentioned).

:hsugh: Depending on his fitness level, diet, pre-ride meal, supplements, length of rides, etc. it is possible his electrolyte balance gets jacked really quick. Believe it or not many people have problems competing or engaging in physical activity where plain water for prolonged amounts of time or under heavy demands does not sit well.

If it has something to do with your electrolyte balance try sipping on some Pedialyte.
