I don't. I'd rather watch a few commercials in the middle of 1 in 5 UFCs than have to pay for HBO just so that I can catch a fight once every few months. I'm way too lazy to order it the month of the fight and then drop it after :o

it would be really shitty to drop spike tho, spike is pretty much the reason the UFC is where it is today

UFC has helped spike just as much as the other way around it seems.

people too cheap to order HBO, and people so poor they don';t know anyone with HBO, or live near a bar with HBO, are not the kind of people they are worrying about pleasing.

Spike has TUF for many more years, unleashed, previews, behind the scenes, and plenty other UFC programming.

there's no dropping spike cause they air a few fights a year on HBO.

 It's not about being too cheap to get HBO. It's the fact that I'd have to get HBO just for the sake of watching a fight or two every few months. I'm not going to go out and get Showtime just so that I can watch EliteXC. I've had both channels and to be perfectly honest there is nothing that's worth a shit on either one of them. If they're going to show free fights then it needs to be on a free channel. Now if they started airing every UFC on HBO rather than on PPV then I'd get HBO in a heartbeat. So would every one of my friends that are into UFC. I'd even be happy if they did that and just saved the really big, spectacular UFCs for PPV.

They still gave us 5 fights which is on par w/ a ppv. It ticks me off much more when I pay $40 and they still cram all kinds of commercials down my throat (xyience, movie trailers, etc etc)...

I waited 30 mins before watching. We were live after the second fight.

We went out to dinner and didn't get home until 9:15 or so. I never did go live on my DVR.

I've started doing that with more sporting events. Makes football pleasant to watch on TV.

There was a UFN a while back where they kept pitching Blade The TV Series. My wife still makes jokes about that when we watch a UFC event.

It was nice that it was free, but the first two fights that didn't go past the first round took almost an hour. They had the hype for the fight, ad, the walkout to the ring, ad, the fight, ad, the post fight interviews, ad.

It was too much, impossible to get into the fights.
