What do u guys think? Im a fan of the game, but wonder how the movie would do.

I think the movie could go either way, although the actual game isnt based on high action I dont know how well that would play into the movie.

As for who plays who, George Clooney is the obvious choice for Sam Fisher. Just look at the photos of Sam. I think that Dennis Haysberg (President Palmer, allstate guy) could play Lambert since hes the voice of him in SC3: Chaos Theory anyways, But someone like Richard Roundtree (black cop in Corky Romano) would physically fit the part better.

It doesnt matter how good the game is, it matters how well the story from the game can transfer to a motion picture. 80% of the fun from a game is in the gameplay. So that other 20% has to be EXTREMELY strong for it to convert to a different medium.

i'd like to see Metal Gear Solid made into a movie, strong plot, strong gameplay. Just add good director who maybe is the fan of the game and you gots a winner.

BTW, director of Splinter Cell games just made Hostage which i thought was good action flick. Peter Berg director of Splinter Cell the movie is known for Rundown, which was pretty entertaining.

I'm sceptic but hope it'll turn out to be a decent film.

splinter cell could easily be made into a movie..its tailor-made for one. kind of 24, jack bauer style. a spy movie, obviously. one-man show.

:hsugh: for me 100% of the fun of a game is from gameplay, its just splinter cell already set up a good stage for a possibly good movie. I dont want to get into a big debate over videogames turned movies... but I think splinter cell could very well turn into a good movie.

i wonder if they are going to do the split jump any where in the movie and if they are going to run any background(AKA flashbacks to previous assignments)?
