Is it possible to splice a set of wires together to form an extension from speakers to reciever.

Or do I got to go buy longer speaker wire?

Yes it is possible. However, you don't want to splice wire together if you don't have to.

If he has to ask this question, he probably doesn't know what in phase means. OP: Make sure red matches red on the old and new wires so nothing is crossed, otherwise you'll be ok. Solder them together if possible.
