I had my alignment checked and they said that they couldn't fix it because of a "bent spindle"

my car doesn't have what I'd call a spindle...

so what are they talking about?

and how much of a pain in the ass will it be to replace?

Your car does have a spindle. It is pretty much like a truck spindle in a sense. It is bolted to the upper and lower arms and your hub is on it.

if you don't have a spindle then how are the wheels staying on?
