I hurt my back a bit ago so the doctor doesn't want me doing any lifting. He does however want me doing crunches and spinal extensions everyday (pic of spinal extensions below, as I'm not sure thats what they're called. I've seen them called several different things) .. Anyways, I don't want to buy a roman chair because I don't have the money, nor the space to put one in my tiny little shack I live in. Anyone know of a way to do these at home?

birddogs are the best lower back rehabilitation exercise, and they don't require any equipment

    Just for clarification..

Reverse hypers are where you lay on your stomach with your feet hanging down and raise them up to parallel to the ground, right?

    And..

I've always though birddogs were where you were on your hands and knees and you put your opposing arm and leg out at the same time parallel to ground and held for a short time, then switched sides. eg: right arm out, left leg out for three seconds, then switch to left arm and right leg out.
But my friend was just telling me a birddog is a weight exercise.
