Most of what I am seeing is saying that the spikes tactical kit is better. Nickel finish along with some other "improvements"

A .22 conversion is tons of a fun and a must have. I'll leave the brand bickering alone.

    DON'T EVER

    EVEN SORT OF

    NOT EVEN A LITTLE

    THINK ABOUT SHOOTING .22LR

    THROUGH YOUR G5

Now that I got your attention - you do not want to do that. Centerfire rounds are clean and mostly jacketed and don't leave molten lead all over the inside of a suppressor, which is why by and large, they are not able to be disassembled. You shoot .22LR through that G5 and you're going to pack it full of lead and ruin it. Get a stainless, user serviceable .22LR can.

Spikes tactical is super mall ninja, and they are price gougers.

    Fuck them, go CMMG

Just got off the phone with Gemtech, they said it's on problem to shoot .22 out of my G5. I'm gonna do it. I still can't find any reason the CMMG kit is better than the spikes. Although I can get the CMMG for under $150 from my uncle

The G5 is Ti, SS, and Inconel, right? If so, it should be good for the 50/50 mix of H2O2 and Vinegar.

I'd still rather buy a SS or Ti take-apart .22 can, they are cheap and lightweight.

It will be good for the dip but it's not something I would want to be fucking with. I normally regard the dip as bad times that I want to avoid anyway.

Yeah, I agree, led acetate is nasty shit. Not something you can just dump down your garbage disposal.

Just like everyone else has said ... go with the CMMG kit. I have almost 1000 rounds through mine with only one failure (failed to eject on last round in mag).

The fact that you can get it for $150 makes it a no-brainer.

K you guys sold me on the CMMG. Still plan on riskin it with the suppressor. I can partially break down my can towards the mount. Will that help?

i've used both and the spikes jams a lot, in both mine and my friends ar. i swapped out my cmmg kit with his, sprayed it wet and was still having ejection issues every 5 or so rounds while my friend was having no issues with mine. even rip is having issues with his spikes kit i read earlier
