DPMS no thanks.
heard they often come with missing/shitty parts
dont need one.but thanks for the heads up
ive used 2 of them, minus trigger/grip.no probs what so ever
You've heard that? I'd imagine if it was missing a part the company you bought it from would make it right. What exactly do you mean by "shitty" parts?
Yeah, it's hard to fuck up a few pins and some springs.
i dunno, thats just what i read on ar15.com when i as looking for LPK's. i apologize if i made it seem like i know what i'm talking about.
There are few thing on barfcom that anyone should take to heart.
yeah i figured. i'd probably order a couple of these if i wasnt broke. i have two stripped lowers looking for some love
All of my lowers have LPKs already. I figure I'll give 1 of them to Laurel for her lower and I'll keep 1 for spare parts.
M&A always has kits and single parts at gun shows, I think i'll just stock up on high wear parts from them.
good looking out
Not a bad idea. At this point I can fix pretty much everything but a barrel failure or a receiver failure. I keep everything in little plastic boxes that fit neatly into the rifle case I use for my AR.
Care to explain?
its not about whether its missing parts or not, just that pretty much everything dpms makes has poor tolerances or isnt made as well as other companies.
i think dpms ar15 tools are the only exception, i guess making poor rifles and having to repair a ton of shit makes your tools good.
I've never seen a problem. As long as the pins are sized correctly for the holes and the springs are of decent metal there's not much room to fuck up a parts kit.
go ahead and buy them. i'll pass.
DPMS actually make some of the best lowers
I did, and that's fine for you. I'm just interested in facts rather than internet rumor and baseless DPMS hate. I remember this discussion from a thread about LMT LPKs a few months ago. For all the bashing of "lesser" LPKs nobody could provide any data that actually shows these LPKs are somehow inferior. On the other hand are huge numbers of people who have never had a single problem with them.
Most LPKs come from the same place anyway. I'll buy whichever is cheapest until I see evidence that one mil-spec LPK is superior.
all gone. darn. I need a LPK.
