These are the best shots...
I like what you were trying to capture. No inside shots though?
I like 4 and 6 based on composition. Seems so eerie!
Crop out that orange fence though
inside shots are a no-no. They prosecute trespassers pretty severely.
And I just noticed the orange fence in the shot.
Do they have guards? Gotta be sneaky!
A great photo is always worth it.
They are occasionally patrolled, are in a high visibility area, and I believe have video surveillance in spots.
I'm very tempted to contact the developers who have bought the property to see if I can get in to take shots before renovations.
Definitely! The worst they can say is no.
#4 could be a lot better with some post to make it "pop" the rest are fairly meh.
Suggestions on post?
I usually just bump up the contrast and brightness a little. You could do it even more so and make it more dramatic. There are probably other methods too.
Shots seem underexposed to me.... but i suck so dont listen to me LOL I would love to break in and run around in there snapping pics.
gave it a quick run through on what I'd do for PP
hope you don't mind.
I just gave it a more cold tone, and used a few layers with shadow and highlight adjustments.
A little dodging and burning, and a very light touch of the highpass filter.
you'll have to copy and paste to your browser, because I'm not allowed to link or post photos
That place looks awesome. I'd scope it out and see when the security comes and if there is cameras. That place would be so fun to explore.
How old is the place?
Cool pics. I love the architecture. Where is this located?
that's the facility. It is being renovated (quite nicely too), so I want more shots before it's gone.
here you go:
and layers elude me. I need to dig into PS more.
and I'll post raw files if anyone else wants a shot at them.
I'll post it later tonight.
i would have jumped the fence and gone inside
No cameras, we looked.
There wasn't much security driving around during the day, but I don't know about night. We saw one pass by, but he didn't look at us twice.
Someone's obviously been in there recently, because there was a piece of plywood just leaning on a doorway, rather than screwed on.
Weak chainlink fencing just wrapped to the main fence. I've had more problems getting into my house drunk than I would have had getting into this place.
The building stinks of a great interior. You could tell by looking at some of the outside shit that it would have been a photo guys wet dream in there.
He's just being a pussy because some lady drove by, waving her finger at the building, telling us its haunted.
orange fence around the northern building is down now.
I'd have busted my ass. Hard. Much to the amusement of those around me.
I wondered what the deal with that was.
It obviously wasn't meant to keep anyone out. It was sagging and falling off in most areas.
