You can find a 50 pack of Ranger T for about that much locally.

You talking $25/20 or for a 50 box? I pay about $20/ box of 50 in 124 gr.

I went to Cabelas to find some Ranger T. They had none. :ugh:

They did however have 2 boxes of gold dot in 147gr for $17.99/20. I bought both.

Call all the stores for Ranger T (RA9T). It's hard to find locally but it's cheaper than Gold Dot right now especially when theyre doing 20rd boxes now.

Is Mirage Technoligies/ Florida Bullet still selling Gold Dot's to the public? They used to off their website. Try calling around to Police gear supply stores, lots of them order cases for dept's and sell 50 rd. boxes for good deals.

I get mine at the Country ran indoor range in Portland, OR.

Mirage Technologies/Florida bullet's site looks like they sell to the public. They have gold dot 9mm in 124gr for $22/50 + $9.96 shipping. Not a bad deal @ all. At least I know where to go when I need more. :wiggle:

I think it's mainly for keeping the core and jacket together when shooting through stuff like auto glass.

Last I knew all Gold Dot Bullets are bonded. It's just a price difference in the packaging. LE boxes are 50 rd. Others are 20 rd. Their cost from Speer is very similar, but a regular distributor can't just buy 50 rd boxes unless it's an LE order or they stock it for PD's and the such.

I bought two boxes of the stuff...but at $1 a round, i can't bring myself to shoot up a whole box yet :wtc:

I REALLY need something cheaper, so i can shoot a bunch of test rounds...and then have enough on hand "just in case"

Hell if SHTF right now, i'd be screwed except for .22lr headshots.

Check out Federal HST. I've put a couple boxes through my G19 with no problems and it really does expand like it advertises

http://www.streichers.com/specialpage.aspx?page=arfcom has it pretty cheap and shipping is free with orders over $50 for AR15.com members.
