Motorcycles don't have a mpg rating. The mpg can vary greatly depending on the weight of the rider and how aggressive the rider is.

on a bike it depends a lot more on the size/weight of the rider than in a car.

and you thought it had more than 123hp? the 06 has 131hp, so it isn't like you're very far off.

    131hp??? That's as much as my 06' GSXR-750 :mamoru:

    And that's an 06' R6. The 03' probably has between 96HP-105HP.

Mid 30s to low 40s is a reasonable estimate even if you occasionally get frisky with the throttle. Just remember it's about 150 miles per tank of gas before the reserve light comes on.

actually, the 03 is rated at 123hp like he thought - my point was that even the 06 R6 doesn't have much more power than that. Is the 07 the same as the 06?

Where are you getting these numbers from? I sure as hell know that the 03' R6 is NOT making 123HP to the wheels  Not even close. The 07' doesn't seem to be much different than the 06'.

Not really. I've seen the mpg vary from 30-70 from people with the same bike as me. I've gotten an average of 47. The R6 will probably get low 40's.
