recently my speakers have been making crackling noises..but the weird part is that it only happens when play games..music and videos sound fine.

I've tried switching with other speakers and cleaning out my computer but they still crackle..

should i buy a sound card?..or could it be something i installed thats causing the noise?

I was going to say they probably blew but since they play music and video's fine it's probably your soundcard. I've already been through three different types of speakers and Battlefield 2 still makes crackling noises on my comp. Try looking to get a new soundcard.

you have onboard audio im assumming, that seems to be one of the possible side effects in my experience. try getting a pci sound card, doesnt have to be anything too fancy, anything will probably be an upgrade from onboard.
