Don't know a lot about what's good and bad - few people have given me some suggestions but I'd like some suggestions from OT.

I've ordered a Clarion DXZ585USB HU, and i need some 6.5 component speakers now. Will be using an Alpine amp too i'm buying off Smitty :o

I listen to just about everything but country music :o

    Budget is plus/minus $200

Alpine Type-R comps are $150 and decent as well.
IF you don't care about warranty you can get Alpine Type-X for $220 or less.

rainbow Germanium series are suppose to be some of the best components, but they are sorta expensive ($300 area if i remember right). If u wanna go cheap (>$150) then go with the PG RsD. U could probably find some Diamond Audio S500/S600 components for around $200 used, those are really nice components.

The amp i'm buying from OTer Smitty is an Alpine MRV F250 - it bridges to 100x2 @ 4ohm. I figure that'll be fine for me until i decide to add a sub. The Clarion is rated at 53x4 i think?
