i have a relatively new computer with an Asus P5LD2-Deluxe motherboard that has an onboard Realtek ALC882M 8 channel sound card. i have a set of logitech z-640 5.1 speakers, but i cant get the rear speakers and center speaker to work unless i press the matrix button which is virtual surround. HELP!

edit: i have the newest drivers for the sound card installed

what are you using as an audio source... "virtual surround" is like Dolby ProLogic -- which up-mixes a stereo source to 5.1/6.1/7.1. If you are using a stereo source, without virtual surround, you will get only stereo (no center/rear) Mp3's are stereo.
