My dad got a what seems to be an old spanish military 308. We are trying to find more info about it.

He says it is stamped some city in spain ( cant make out the city name )
    has 308w on it
seems when it was imported it went to Miami, FL
also has 6007 stamped several times on it.
    it is bolt action

    anyone got an idea?

Sounds like an FR-8 to me. It was used to train Spanish troops for their future use of the CETME rifle.

Here is a pic of one.

For mods I have no idea, I don't expect there to be many for it. You could probably put a scope on it if you wanted. One thing I do know is that it kicks like a mother fucker.:o

yes. there was one in a local store near me a while back. pretty cool rifles, even though they have a straight bolt.

I have heard reports that some of these rifles were rebored to .308 from a wimpier round. You may want to go to www.cruffler.com and check which serial numbers were rebored.
