    m1 and carbines...

supposedly, they are selling them to US at $220 for M1 and $140 for a carbine...

    estimated 86,000 M1s and 22,000 carbines..

does that mean a price drop in the near future?

    edit: is selling

Hopefully they're selling them back to DoD/Army, so that CMP will get ahold of them.
And the SK stock of .30 and .30 Carbine ammo....that'd be nice too.

CMP is now out of .30 carbine and .22 ammo. Only ammo they have left is Greek HXP in 192 round cans on enbloc clips. And I would expect that to sell out by the end of the year.

This is good though, I was going to buy a Garand but they don't have any decent ones currently.

I kept putting off getting some .30 carbine from them. Anyone try the .30 carbine wolf ammo? :hsd:

This made me put in an order for more 30-06 ammo. :o

They are. Mine came in awesome condition and if you report any issues, they fix them no problem and no cost.

The cost is 595 for Springfield Arms Service Grade plus IIRC 22.95 in shipping.

Even the lower grades are suppose to be pretty good. :dunno:

I believe the HRA and WRA Garands are still sold out for service grade.

If you go to the CMP store, they only have field and lower grade atm. To get service or higher you have to order though the mail.

Do it. It is a very easy process and the customer service at CMP is unmatched.

If you care about a WW2 serial, consider a lower grade. Most, not all, but most of the service grade garands are post WW2. Mine is about 1955.

I went with service grade because I wanted a good, long lasting shooter. It is exactly what I got (the barrel is amazing).

There are none left apparently. The ones they have got pulled off the shelves and reserved for phone orders. I was going to drive over there and pick on out, but I'm not about to babysit $600 in my checking account for 6 months in anticipation of them possibly shipping me one.
