Well, not too long ago, i bought an old Dell laptop for screwing around with and GPS and whatnot, but it only had windows 98 on it.

Normally, that'd be fine, but quite a few programs of mine don't work on it, so i installed windows XP..

Now, i've tried about 30 different drivers, but none of them work, sooo i'm turning to you guys..

the laptop is a Dell Latitude CPi A366XT with windows XP on it. the sound chip is a neomagic, but i don't recall the model off hand.. it's all original, so it should follow factory specs..

    Any help is appreciated!:wavey:

Go to support.dell.com, figure out where the driver downloads are, type in the Service Tag number from the sticker on your laptop, and download the sound drivers for Windows XP. Keep in mind that when you download drivers from Dell, first you have to extract the installer to a temporary folder, and then you have to go into the temporary folder and run the installer. It's not a one-shot deal.

If you've done this already, disregard.
