She's been told it's a keloid or that it's hypertonic scarring. She's been told to use tea tree oil, told not to use it, told to use it again by someone else, been told to do sea salt soaks, been told to crush asprin rub it in, been told to do cammomole tea bag presses on it, and so forth.
It used to be soft, now it's hard.
She's had the bump for about a month and a half.

Have you guys tried talking to a doctor? Maybe a dermatologist?

I'd give you the sea salt + asprin thing but you've already been told that. Maybe she's OVER cleaning it/her face and it's getting irritated. is she using a face wash/soap with astringent in it?

She said she stopped the asprin thing because a shard got into the piercing and hurt it.
I'll get her to continue seasalt and asprinsince this seems to be a general consensus (so far...)

Its hypertrophic scarring. Keloids don't appear directly on the piercing and they don't come and go. They're permanent. I have one on my nose and I've just left it and it's slowly going away. Patience is key.

So is doing salt water soaks with asprin bits still advisable? Or by now the piercing is healed and we just need to wait.

You don't want aspirin 'bits'. You want to make it into a paste and apply it ONLY on the bump.
