Anyone else get soreness on the outsides of their calves when squatting heavy ATG?

When I go over 300, the outside of my calves burn after 2 or 3 reps...

Then they're ridiculiously sore for the next day or two...

    Is this normal?

How worn out are your shoes, and how careful are you with form?

    .

I use to have this problem

working on form and stretching your hips, quads and calves also helps.

Lean back more. You should be putting more pressure on your heels than your toes.

Or, if your calves are just plain week, work em'.
