Soooo.... my artist has disappeared on me.... *updated* a bit

......and left me with an unfinished sleeve.

He's no longer at his shop, his website is gone and nobody seems to know where he went.

My question is..... is another artist going to get squicky about finishing my unfinished piece, given the circumstances? I've researched a few artists and have a good idea of who I want to finish it, I just haven't talked to either of them yet.

    ...help?

They shouldn't have a problem finishing it.

that sucks, my artist was offered a position at a place in connecticut paying him 300 bucks a day airbrushing and tattooing, whether or not he does any work on that day. tips are extra money in his pocket. i didnt know until i heard rumors from his pops (good friend of mine) so now i have to get my back piece done in one sitting before he leaves

    Cool.

I've heard that some artists won't touch another artist's piece.... I guess this is just a myth.

Thats sometimes true, but someone at the same shop might not have a problem finishing it because of what happened.

It's not a myth. There are artists out there that will 100% refuse to touch another artists work.

I guess I'll just take my chances with the artists I have in mind and see what they say.

The other artist at this shop is good but he's a real arrogant dillhole.... which is why I didn't go with him. He didn't want to work with me and what I had in mind.

Now ay in hell am I letting him finish it :fawk:

Explain to them that your artist just up and disappeared and I'm sure they'll understand.

:werd: I had a hell of a time getting my leg fixed/touched up after the original artist left town.

Update.... I did some sleuthing around and found out that most artists didn't seem to have an issue finishing my piece after I explained the issue to them.

I'm going in July 22nde to have my half sleeve worked on. Artist estimates it will take about 2 or 3 sessions to finish it the way I want it finished. :)
