Anyone know a 2 gig Pro Duo stick will work in this phone?
sure will, can use up to 4gb
I'm thinking of getting this since the iphone's so expensive.
Anyone one already have it? If so, how do you like it?
I just picked one up on Monday. So far it seem pretty good. Of course, I am coming from a moto v551. I am trying to get it debranded and unlocked but having a little trouble. Right now, I have to use 20 sec clips of songs as ringtones but, once I get it debranded I should be able to just select the song. Or, at least that is what I have read.
I just picked up a w810, how do I go about debranding/unlocking it?
I went here http://davinciteam.com/ and paid the $12 for the de-branding software. There are a couple of good tutorials on the site and my posts of the problems I had should still be there. Warning, my games changed when I did this and the default wall paper and theme were replaced. Overall though, I am happier with the phone now.
Is the warranty/insurance void if you debrand?
I've been looking for a 4GB that doesn't cost over $50.
Also, for W810i owners... is your volume really quite too?
It's fine when I'm talking through my headphones, but when I use just the phones itself I can't hear shit even though the volume is jacked all the way up.
I don't suppose there's a fix for this is there?
Yes, if they figure out that you dedranded it, they wil try to void your warranty.
I have not found any cheap sony memory cards.
The volume on my phone is fine but, I do notice that placement of the phone is critical. I sometimes have to move the phone around to "find" the speaker when not using the headset.
Yeah I noticed that too, it has to be spot-on in order to hear anything at all.
Thats the only thing I dont like about sony ericsson phones, all the ones ive had you have to hold it "just right" to hear good.
I hate the earphones it comes with as well. They're lop-sided, the lengths are off and it bugs the shit out of me.
It's a horrible design at best.
They are made that why because the majority of people are right handed. So, if most people would put the phone somewhere on their left side and that reduces the amount of dangling headphone wire making them less likely to get in the way. If you wear those type of headphones behind your neck while in the gym or running, you might actually like them. But, on a phone......mmmeehh.
