sony hi-md?

    anyone pick them up yet or have any experience with them? 1gb minidiscs? i'm wondering how they are. they look pretty cool and not that expensive. 199 at best buy :dunno:

    they are great if you are O.K. with converting every song you have to atrac3.
    I thought of getting one myself but the way Sony has to put atrac in everything turn me off.

    But they can also be used as a usb drive.

    i thought that it would read mp3s too :dunno:

    looks like a cool deal to me

    I have the original type of MD player...have a home unit to record live mixes and a portable player to listen to them

    now i have a Dell DJ so I dont see myself buying a hi-md player

    I may look into it down the road but right now I'm fine with my current MD portable.

    You may want to check out minidisct.com They also have forums.
