  1. Opinions?
Anyone have it or use it?
Better than the older version (other than new=8mp old=5mp)?
    Anyone have Sample Pics??

    Best legit price you've seen??
I really want to get one ASAP but I never hear anyone talking about this camera....... :dunno:

  3. I don't understand alot of the stuff they're talking about in the reviews as I'm not a professional. I've got to hold the camera and try it out while it was on display at Best Buy. It's really comfortable compared to alot of the other camera's. And I know a guy with the F717 and he likes it alot and looks like a pro when he's using it.

Thanks for the link though it has alot of helpful info.

    Look at the Minota A2.

The Sony is ok, but has some serious noise problems above iso 100. It also has severe purple fringing when there is very contrasty lighting.

It does have a nice lens, great movie mode, very fast auto focus etc. But the Minolta A2 has all the same, more features, is smaller and lighter, and adds image stabilization.

horrible noise if the iso is over 100 or so.. which is pretty unacceptable from a $900 camera

  6. Why does everyone comment about the noise, I dont notice it compared to pics I see other poeple take with other camera's? :dunno:

Lots of megapixels crammed into a tiny sensor = noise.

    I'd get the F717 before I got the 828.

I was considering that camera before and I ended up getting an Olympus C8080wz.
It has a lot better lens than the Sony and better bang for the buck
Go to www.dpreview.com, this site has great reviews :)

  9. I plan on getting a bigger lense and a wide angle lense and probably leaving them on all the time woudl this help?

Like some have mentioned, it's a horribly noisy camera. I tried one for a couple weeks and there's just way to much noise at anything over ISO 100. It's a nicely built camera though...that doesn't do any good when the pictures it takes suck though.
