I was playing around with iDVD and now I wish I had purchased the superdrive.
you can add an external DVD burner, iDVD 5 will recognize an external drives now and you'll have no problems using it.
what mac do you have.....how much did it cost with out the dvd burner.....how much would it have costed to upgrade to the dvd burner?
i wish you would have consulted with us beforehand. i would have recomended it.
For now, look for an external DVDr. www.apple.com/idvd should give you a list of supported drives.
ibook, it would've been 200 more for the superdrive. I remember thinking "I don't need to burn DvDs in class!" and now I wish I could burn dvds in class
yeah I've been looking for a good external dvd burner but they seem hard to come by. I'll ask the apple rep tomorrow and see what he suggests.
internal dvd burner with external enclosure would cost ya under $100 off newegg.com. is something that i've been thinking of doing myself...
I picked up a Pioneer DVR-108 for about $80 in October off Newegg.
That means that it's probaby about 20 by now.
