I had my MacBook Pro on my chair, and it slipped right off and cracked open the case. The metal is bent, and the SuperDrive is pretty much bent. Talk about a bad fucking day.

Mac laptop replacement piece prices are insane. My old TiBook had a broken hinge (older ones were made of hard plastic which Apple later fixed with metal ones). A single hinge goes for around $99. I was lucky enough to get both hinges for around that price. Still need to sell the right one.

Here it is after bending it back. It won't go any farther though. It's not too bad, but it's bad enough.

ouch. I dropped my MB a couple times and my HD finally stopped working yesterday. Dropped it off at the Apple store today, should be done tomorrow. I wasn't sure when Apple care expired, I have until June 08, so all is good. I feel for ya though.

I'm a little afraid that if my hard drive dies while I'm still under warranty, if I take it in, they will say that it's because I dropped it. So I think I basically just lost the rest of my warranty
