My car came stock with a tape deck, but an OEM cd player was installed, so now the empty din is filled with a cd player. I want to put in an aftermarket headunit, but I don't know what to do with the open din. Is there a place online I can buy one of those openings that usually comes stock?

I'm looking for something like what's below this HU:

DIN pocket. And it shouldnt be too much more than an aftermarket one. Plus the quality is better on the OEM pocket.

Also might be called radio box. Should be about $15.

This is for a pickup like in the picture right?

it's actually for a toyota avalon, but I had just done a HU install in my brother's 4runner, and remembered seeing a pic describing what I was talking about. Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

I have an older copy of Toyota's parts software. It doesnt cover 99 though. I'd just take up jollyogre's offer if I were you.
